So far I've seen three people from SVU and one person from EFY a couple years ago.
The people here are really nice. The sisters the first night we got here came to our door with treats with our names on them saying how much they already loved us.
My district is strange. But finding ways to get along with all of them. There are four sets of Elders and two sets of Sisters. We share a room. They're awesome!
It feels like time is totally different here in the MTC. Not sure how to explain it other than at some points it seems really slow and sometimes super fast.
I've been made senior companion, but only for a few days then it gets handed over to my comp sister Downey.
So far I have learned that I really enjoy studying the scriptures and studying for teaching. I have also learned that no matter how introverted I am, with Sister Downey at least, I am the leader. I am the one who speaks the most and shares my thoughts and testimony the most.
The food is not as bad as some people told me, but not as good as others did. The salad bar is saving me.
Sunday was the first hard day of my mission, when i finally came out of shock and started to feel the extent of what i decided to do. There have been so many times where i question why I'm here. But then God keeps sending me answers that this is not about me. I can do anything through God.
MTC choir is amazing! So much sprirt. Love the fact that I can say I'm singing in the MTC over Christmas.
Yesterday we taught our first person. It's a moment I never want to forget. For a moment I was truly an instrument in Gods hands and i loved it! In other words, yesterday was the day I realized why I am here serving a mission. Not because I love teaching, but because I LOVE being Gods mouth piece.
The coolest part of the MTC is that I have truly been feeling Christs love for everyone. I absolutely love it!
Love you all,
Sister Bailey
