Week 10 / The House

For those of you who want to see the house I was able to stay in:)

Please ignore how cringy I am...

The last week I was able to spend in Cochin, Kerala. It was beautiful, even more rain forest like than northern India. I ended up with a lot of bug bites and getting food poisoning, so that was fun.

Week 9

Today I leave Faizabad, Uttar Pradesh to spend my last week with the family in Kerala, India. As I was packing (and finding mice in my clothing) today, I got this bitter sweet feeling of leaving this wonderful home and these wonderful people. I have had the most amazing experience of my life and I wouldn't change any of it for the world. I am so excited for those who are looking to come after me, if you are questioning coming I say "Do IT!" You won't regret it.

The woman's co-op I've been working with.

These past nine weeks have been the most exhausting, hard, happiest, most wonderful days of my life. I have learned so much and gained so much appreciation for life and all that it has to offer. I have been influenced more than ever to pursue my dreams, to live for those who can't, and to change the world so they can. (all of this looks really good when applying for college btw) I have missed home more than I ever thought I could miss anything, but I now appreciate home and a scarcity of bugs in the house (yes there was a giant spider on my backpack this morning as I was trying to pack) more than words can say.

There are two of him, Fred and George. They are about the size of a small plate. They really are terrifying.

I have filmed a tour of the house that I need to edit, but if you are interested let me know:)
