The Work Goes On

Wow, so a lot has happened in the past two weeks. I had to get out my journal.
- Starting off with Easter a man from New York called us, our number was just in his phone, and he thanked us for our service. He told us stories of when he was a missionary and talked about obedience and Christlike love. I hope to meet Mr. Clark some day, he was so sweet.
- Our district leader talks to us on the phone every night, I feel bad for him cause he has seen the really weird me come out.
- I drew pictures of our entire zone...
- I think I weird sister Duerden out a lot. In quarantine the weird me comes out is what I've realized, I think its pent up stress just releasing itself in crab-walks and songs.
- My sister called me out for already being a weird missionary....
- We made a collage of Jesus pictures for our living room wall. Maybe you'll see a time lapse on our Tifton facebook page in the future. You may have seen the last on of the tree growing.
- We tried to help an investigator after his girlfriend cheated on him. That was awkward.
- There have been crazy storms and I have thoroughly enjoyed watching them.
- I'm getting better at family history!
- I made it to my 100 days in the mission field!!
- Sister Duerden and I have started creating a flip book for a future Facebook post, then we loved the characters so much that we cut them out and hung them on the fridge. She drew the bodies and I drew the heads.
- The Zone Leaders brought us masks.
- We've decided to make a scrapbook for our ward. So if you run out of ideas, that's a good one. Our bishop is so excited!
- We found a bike path and have been going on lots of long walks just to get out of the house.
- A woman texted us randomly asking for prayers, so we called her immediately. Shes not a member and just loved that we prayed and shared a scripture with her, were now calling her everyday! Miracles!
- A member gave us the talk on how men never grow up.
- The zone leaders brought us the sacrament. I am so grateful for that! There was so much peace and so much joy. I felt like I was being made clean again. I don't think I can ever take the sacrament for granted again!
The Spirit has been so strong lately, everyone can be touched if you just slow down and listen. I encourage all of y'all to do that this week. Take an hour to read and pray, I promise you He will speak to you!
You are so loved!

Pink Washing

I'm sure you all got my update, but if you didn’t😉 I'm now in Moultrie, Ga. Pinkwashing with Sister Duerden. She’s from Hawaii and super excited about missionary work.
Rules have cracked down harder here in Georgia, so we really can't leave our apartment and when we do go outside we've been asked to take our name tags off. It's crazy. But I've got to say, I am so grateful for General Conference and the peace that brought. I could feel the power of God and the peace that everything is going to be okay. Not going to lie, it's hard being a missionary at this time, when it feels like the world is falling to pieces and you're worried about loved ones. But I'm so grateful to be able to serve the Lord every day.
We got a call yesterday from someone looking to come back to church and we were able to just pray with her over the phone. There is so much peace in prayer.
These past two weeks:
- I said goodbye to some of my favorite people, it felt like leaving my family again.
- I drove down to Jacksonville, got on a van to Lake City, got on another van to Tallahassee, then got in a car and drove up to Moultrie.
- I bought an exercise ball. Super excited, I've been bouncing all over the house.
- I'm becoming a chef.
- I have way too much fun checking the mail, even when there is nothing in there.
- I cried that General Conference is over.
- The members are super excited to have sisters as it's been more than 10 years since they have had us.  They all want to meet us badly.
Anyway, I love you and I miss ya’ll so much! I hope ya’ll know that Jesus Christ is here and wants to help us. He wants to give us peace and help us fulfill our righteous desires. As we look towards Easter this Sunday I hope that we don’t think of the people we'll be missing or the parties we can't attend, but rather all that the Savior did for us in this eventful week about 2000 years ago. He suffered, died, and lives again for us! What an amazing gift. Dwell on Him and peace will come.
Love ya’ll,
Sister Bailey
